Joyce's Story

Seams Creations began in 2015, starting with craft shows and handmade projects.

Sewing has always been a part of Joyce's life. Her grandfather worked for Singer, and her mother was a seamstress, so she grew up surrounded by the craft from an early age.

After retiring from a 36-year career with the Department of Defense, Joyce turned her lifelong passion for sewing into some more, teaching others.

What started as traveling across Oklahoma to teach classes eventually grew into something bigger. In 2025, she opened her own classroom in Moore, OK creating a dedicated space where people could come together to learn and sew.

Classes are kept small, with up to six students, so everyone gets personal guidance.

We provide all the machines and tools, making it easy to show up and sew.

As a certified Sallie Tomato educator, Joyce guides students step-by-step through projects they'll love to make and use.
