Welcome to Seams Creations! These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, enrollment in our sewing classes, and booking of our retreat space. By accessing our site or registering for any service, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Our website is built and hosted on the Wix platform (wix.com). By using our site, you also agree to comply with Wix's Terms of Use, available at wix.com/about/terms-of-use.

1. About Seams Creations

Seams Creations is a handcrafted sewing education business offering in-person sewing classes, workshops, and creative retreats. We are passionate about sharing the art of sewing in a welcoming, inspiring environment. Our retreat space is available for rental to groups seeking a creative and comfortable gathering place.

2. Eligibility

By using our website or registering for a class or retreat, you represent that:

You are at least 18 years of age, or are registering under parental supervision and consent
You have the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement
You will provide accurate, current, and complete information at the time of registration or booking

3. Classes and Workshops

3.1 Class Registration

Classes and workshops must be registered for and paid in full online in advance through our website. Spots are limited and are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Your registration is not confirmed until full payment is successfully processed. We are unable to hold spots without payment.

3.2 Skill Levels and Prerequisites

Each class listing will clearly indicate the skill level required (beginner, intermediate, advanced). It is your responsibility to register for a class appropriate to your experience. We reserve the right to recommend a more suitable class if we believe a mismatch exists.

3.3 Supplies and Materials

Unless otherwise stated in the class description, students are responsible for bringing their own supplies and materials. A supply list will be provided upon registration. Some classes may include a materials fee, which will be clearly noted at the time of booking.

3.4 Class Conduct

All participants are expected to treat instructors and fellow students with respect. Seams Creations reserves the right to remove any participant from a class without refund if their behavior is disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe.

3.5 Photography and Recording

Classes and events may be photographed or recorded by Seams Creations for educational and promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to appearing in such materials. If you have concerns, please notify us before the class begins.

4. MeMe's Retreat Space Rental

4.1 About the Space

Our retreat center is a rental property available for creative gatherings, sewing retreats, workshops, and similar events. Bookings are subject to availability and must be approved by Seams Creations prior to confirmation.

4.2 Booking and Payment

Retreat bookings must be paid in full online at the time of booking through our website. Your date is not reserved until full payment is successfully processed. We are unable to hold retreat dates without payment. A minimum of 4 people is required per stay.

4.3 Permitted Use

The retreat space may be used for creative, educational, and social gatherings only. The following are strictly prohibited:

Illegal activities of any kind
Smoking inside the property
Excessive noise beyond reasonable hours (quiet hours: [e.g., 10 PM – 8 AM])
Unauthorized alterations or damage to the property
Events exceeding the stated maximum occupancy

4.4 Guest Responsibility

The person who makes the booking (the "primary renter") is responsible for the conduct of all guests during the rental period. Any damage to the property, furnishings, or equipment caused by renters or their guests will be the financial responsibility of the primary renter.

4.5 Capacity and Hours

Maximum occupancy and permitted rental hours will be specified in your booking agreement. These limits must be respected at all times.

4.6 Liability

Seams Creations is not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings that occur on the property during your rental period. Renters assume full responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their guests. We strongly encourage all renters to secure appropriate event or liability insurance for their gathering.

5. Cancellations and Credits

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds on class registrations or MeMe's retreat bookings.

We understand that life happens. If you are unable to attend a class or retreat you have registered for, your payment will be held as a credit toward any future Seams Creations class or retreat booking.

5.1 How to Request a Credit

To request a credit, please contact us at seams.creations@outlook.com before your scheduled class or Meme's retreat date. Credits requested after the event date will not be issued. Please include your name, date of the class or retreat, and reason for cancellation.

5.2 Transfers

Credits are non-transferable and may only be applied to the account of the original purchaser.

5.3 Cancellations by Seams Creations

If Seams Creations must cancel a class or retreat due to instructor illness, property issues, low enrollment, or circumstances beyond our control, you will be contacted by the owner for further instructions. Seams Creations is not liable for any additional costs you may incur as a result of a cancellation, such as travel or accommodation expenses.

5.4 No-Shows

Participants who do not attend and have not contacted us in advance are not entitled to a credit.

6. Future Product Sales

Seams Creations may offer physical products for purchase online at a future date. When that offering becomes available, additional terms related to shipping, returns, and product sales will be added to this agreement and clearly communicated. Until that time, these Terms apply solely to class registrations and retreat bookings.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Seams Creations website — including class materials, patterns, instructional content, photographs, logos, and written content — is the intellectual property of Seams Creations and is protected by copyright law.

Class materials provided to students are for personal use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, teach from, or sell our class content or patterns without our express written permission.

8. Health, Safety, and Assumption of Risk

Participation in sewing classes and use of sewing equipment carries inherent risks, including but not limited to cuts, needle injuries, and equipment-related hazards. By registering for a class or event, you acknowledge these risks and agree to follow all safety instructions provided by your instructor.

Seams Creations reserves the right to require participants to leave if they are behaving unsafely or in a manner that puts themselves or others at risk.

9. User Conduct

When interacting with our website or attending our events, you agree not to:

Provide false or misleading information in your registration or booking
Engage in fraudulent activity or chargebacks without valid cause
Harass, threaten, or abuse instructors, staff, or other participants
Use our website to transmit spam, malware, or harmful content
Damage or misuse the retreat property or class equipment

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Our website is hosted on the Wix platform, and we do not warrant that our site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses. Website availability may be subject to Wix's platform maintenance or outages beyond our control.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Seams Creations shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website, attendance at our classes, or use of our retreat space — including but not limited to personal injury, loss of property, or loss of enjoyment.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific class or booking giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Seams Creations, its owner(s), employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your attendance at our events, or your use of our retreat property.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Oklahoma.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our site or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
